Ms. Gashumba Jeanne Pauline, the FIC Director General officiates the International Financial Investigation training workshop for financial analysts and financial investigators which is taking place from 20th to 24th March 2023 in Kigali-Rwanda. This workshop has been organized by the AML/CFT ESCAY Project in partnership with FIC. It has brought together participants from ESCAY region.

AML/CFT ESCAY, is the European Union-funded project “Anti Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism in Eastern, Southern, Central Africa and Yemen.” It focuses on follow and recover the money targeting proceeds and illicit financial flows (IFFs) derived from transnational organized crime and terrorist groups.

Ms. Gashumba urges participants to seize the training opportunity to not only learn new skills and procedures but also share good practices and network for further collaboration to effectively fulfill their duties of combating financial crimes at both national and international levels.
