Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), in collaboration with the Eastern and Southern Africa Anti Money Laundering Group ESAAMLG and with the financial support of SecFin Africa Project, is conducting a 5-day FATF Standards Training Course in Kigali from 1st to 5th December 2025, attended by 43 participants from various institutions. The training aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) standards and enhance their capacity to implement effective measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.

During the official opening, Ms. GASHUMBA Jeanne Pauline, FIC Director General, has encouraged participants to actively engage in the course.

“Your participation here today underscores our nation’s unwavering commitment to achieving a robust and compliant AML/CFT regime. The expertise you gain will be instrumental in strengthening our mechanisms and protecting our economy from abuse by criminals,” She stated.

Ms. GASHUMBA also commended all stakeholders, including SecFin Africa Project and ESAAMLG, for their continued support in helping Rwanda and the region uphold international AML/CFT standards.
