Ms. GASHUMBA Jeanne Pauline, FIC Director General and ESAAMLG Chairperson, attended the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Plenary that took place from 11^th to 13^th February 2026 in Mexico. This Plenary that serves as a key global platform for advancing Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) efforts; provided a forum for member countries to strengthen FATF standards, enhance international cooperation, and promote transparency and accountability. 

Over three days, participants agreed on actions to prevent criminals from profiting from fraud and other illicit activities.
