The Director General of Rwanda’s Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), Ms. Gashumba Jeanne Pauline, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Director General of the Eswatini Financial Intelligence Unit (EFIU) on March 31st, 2025, during the ongoing Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group (ESAAMLG) meeting in Kampala, Uganda. The MoU aims at enhancing cooperation in sharing financial intelligence to prevent and counter money laundering, terrorism financing, the proliferation financing of weapons of mass destruction and other related crimes.
